The dreaded part of nutrition and weight loss programs - exercise. Well, you can relax! Exercise doesn’t have to mean living at the health club! Exercise is the fun part of Healthy For Life! While we maintain that nutrition and supplementation are the most important factors in improving your health, exercise is beneficial and will help to keep you fit.

The easiest and most fun way to get your exercise is to find an activity you like and do it regularly. This may include biking, running, walking through the mall, hiking, working out or whatever type of physical activities you enjoy. You could also do little things throughout the week, like parking further away when doing errands or taking the stairs instead of the elevator to stay active.

Weight lifting and other exercises that stress the muscle are the best type of exercises for burning fat and losing weight. Your body typically burns very little body fat when running, jogging and walking. Your body doesn’t start burning much fat until after the first 30 minutes of a run. If you’re running to lose weight, you need to run for an hour or more at a time. With weight lifting your body will begin to burn body fat very quickly while increasing your muscles’ size and strength.

For maximum fat burning never carb load. It is important to note that the most effective way to lose weight is to follow the Healthy For Life  eating and supplementation part of the program. Exercise helps to maintain your well-being, but does not play a major role in weight loss.
